PARTNERSHIPS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE THE LIFE-LINE OF SPORT ORGANIZATIONS.
Sport touches everyone in various ways. Participants keep themselves physically active and challenge their physical abilities. Others get involved as coaches, organizers and parents supporting children's athletic activities. Sport has a tremendous social impact. It is an important facet of the culture, traditions and identity of our community. It is a major contributor to the health, social and economic life of our community. It is promoted for its intrinsic value to the community.
VOLUNTEERING IS THE KEY TO A HEALTHY COMMUNITY.
As people search for ways to enrich their lives, many are giving their personal time and skills to the community. Others are looking for new routes to personal and professional development. Individuals are becoming empowered to take charge of their lives, and want a chance to contribute their energies to helping others.
Volunteers offer a wide range of activities, and they assume a number of responsibilities at all levels of sport. Volunteers are coaches, officials and administrators. These individuals, working in the trenches of sport, come into contact with and collectively have a profound effect on the experience of thousands of young athletes. It is their efforts that influence the decisions to begin and maintain involvement in sport. The contribution volunteers make is immeasurable.
Simply put, without volunteers, sport as we know it, would not exist.

VOLUNTEER POLICY
Your volunteer deposit will be cashed unless…
Volunteers are the nuts and bolts needed to operate a soccer club offering a quality program at reasonable fees. Without volunteers we will have to hire staff to do the many jobs required to keep our Club running.
We encourage our members to step forward and help in one of the various volunteer opportunities we offer. The $150 volunteer fee in lieu of volunteering recognizes that not all families are able to volunteer.
Our new volunteer tracking system allows us to track all volunteer involvement on a family basis. While we will make every effort to assign the volunteers to their preferred choices as indicated on the registration form, we cannot guarantee the availability of the chosen volunteer role. Families who do not choose a second or third choice will be assigned "as needed" for their second and third choice. In order to be fair and accountable to all members of the Club, your volunteer deposit will be cashed if you do not volunteer at some point during the season.
We will make every attempt to contact members by e-mail and/or phone to fulfill their volunteer commitment. Please get in touch with your coach or team manager if you have not volunteered or you have not been contacted to volunteer by January 31.
Please take a look at the following opportunities for the upcoming season and choose the 3 top volunteer jobs you are interested in. In addition, we will send out by e-mail periodically throughout the season requests for special projects or committees where volunteers are needed.
Sign up. Learn a new skill. Take advantage of the benefits of being a volunteer and being satisfied with a job well done!
