Blizzard Youth Soccer Program

Our vision is to be the Premier Soccer Club for all members.

Our mission is to provide all our members with a dynamic and enjoyable soccer experience that inspires the pursuit of excellence through the development of character and sportsmanship.

Youth Program Components
  • Player Technical Development
    • Basic weekly practices
The Club supports the coaches by providing coaching materials such as technical drills, tactical plays, warm-up and cool-down practices, fitness, nutrition; and encourages participation in coaching courses. See Our Coaches for details.
    • Advanced training in the Blizzard Academy
Comprehensive player development program designed by the TDs and run by our professional trainers. The aim is to develop technical and tactical skills. See the Blizzard Academy for details.
    • Development through play-up to the senior teams
The Blizzard Club has teams in CWSA & CUSA playing in Major through Div 6. The Club encourages play-ups as a development venue for youth players. See Adult Soccer for details.
    • Development through participation in tournaments
The Club actively encourages tournament participation. We are in the process of developing a comprehensive database of tournaments frequented by Club teams.
    • Development through participation in travel camps
We have strong partnerships with professional soccer schools in the USA (Florida) and Germany (Cottbus, Dresden). Trips are organized by the Club on a team or group basis.
  • Coach Development
    • We consider coach development a fundamental component of player development. The Club provides internal training, mentoring and a coaching manual. We also fund participation in training courses at any level, for community coaching courses, at the NCCP level and at B-license level. See Our Coaches for details.
