Meet Elyh

Elyh Escobar is a Skills Development Coach with Calgary Blizzard Soccer Club, bringing both personal playing experience and a strong coaching foundation to his role. A former Blizzard player, Elyh began his soccer journey with EMFC and SWU before finishing his youth career with Blizzard, giving him a deep understanding of the club’s values and player pathway.

In 2022, Elyh made his mark as the top goal scorer in the Alberta Player Development League (APDL). His development as a player also included time in the Calgary Whitecaps Academy and training with Cavalry FC’s U21 program, where he gained valuable experience in a high-performance environment.

Since joining the coaching staff in 2022, Elyh has focused on helping young players build technical skills, game intelligence, and confidence on the ball. His approach blends competitive insight with a player-first mindset, supporting athletes in reaching their potential both on and off the field.
