At Calgary Blizzard SC, we believe environment matters.
Year-round access to high-quality training space allows our players to continue developing regardless of the season. Through strong partnerships and long-term investment, Blizzard athletes train in two of Northwest Calgary’s premier indoor soccer facilities.
Together, these facilities provide space, scale, and playing surfaces that support both grassroots development and high-performance training.
The Shouldice Indoor Athletic Facility
One Field. All Seasons.
In partnership with the City of Calgary, the Greater Calgary Amateur Football Association, and the Calgary Minor Soccer Association, Calgary Blizzard SC is proud to call the Shouldice Indoor Athletic Facility home.
At 136,271 square feet, Shouldice is the largest indoor turf field in Calgary – nearly double the size of many other indoor spaces in the city.
What that means for our players:
True full-size 11v11 play, and an amazing opportunity to host 3x 9v9 and 4x 7v7 matches during our indoor seasons.

Fewer limitations on technical and tactical development
The seasonal inflatable dome operates from October through May, allowing our athletes to train at full scale throughout the winter months.

Shane Homes West Soccer Dome
FIFA Quality Pro Surface
Blizzard’s secondary indoor training facility, the Shane Homes West Soccer Dome, offers another elite training environment for our athletes.
Located in Northwest Calgary, this full-size FIFA Quality Pro certified field underwent a $2 million renovation in 2020. The facility features:
A full-sized FIFA Quality Pro artificial turf pitch
A surface inspected annually to maintain international certification standards
Flexible field configurations that can be divided into multiple training spaces
Expanded non-boarded playing space to better replicate outdoor conditions
A FIFA Quality Pro certification ensures the highest standards in playing performance, safety, and durability – giving our athletes a professional-level training surface right here at home.
