U14-U19: Reach

Calgary Blizzard U14–U19 Reach Program

Reach for the Sky. Reach Your Potential.

The Calgary Blizzard Reach Program is designed for U14–U19 players who are ready to take the next step in their soccer journey. Building on the foundation developed in our Core age groups, Reach provides an environment where players can challenge themselves, grow their confidence, and continue progressing along their individual development pathway. Soccer for Life, Post Secondary, Professional Trials - the sky is the limit!

Whether your goal is to enjoy the game with friends or compete at a higher level, Reach offers opportunities for every player. We field teams in the Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) league across Tier 1 through Tier 4, ensuring players are placed in the environment that best matches their ability, ambition, and commitment.

Excellence in Player Development

At Calgary Blizzard, player development is driven by one of the most highly qualified technical staffs in Calgary. Our program is designed, guided, and delivered by Canada Soccer Licensed coaches with extensive experience developing players at both the grassroots and competitive levels.

Our technical staff works collaboratively to create a consistent player development model across every team, ensuring each athlete receives age-appropriate, challenging, and engaging training sessions. Through ongoing coach education, mentorship, and a club-wide curriculum, we provide a technical program that is unmatched in the City of Calgary.

Every training session is built with purpose—helping players improve their technical skills, tactical awareness, decision-making, confidence, and love for the game while preparing them for the next stage of their soccer journey.

Tiering Considerations

At the time of registration, players cannot choose the tier in which they will register. All players who are new to CBSC are required to attend player placement sessions, where CBSC Technical Staff evaluate each player's soccer skills. Based on this assessment, players are placed into the appropriate team within our player pool according to their ability.

  • Tier I & Tier II

    • More Developed Players – For players who are more developed and experienced in the game of soccer. For players who are more likely to play year-round and/or have soccer as their primary activity

    • More entry-level players – For recreational players and/or players who are entering the sport for the first time. For families looking for less time commitment and sessions per week
