Summit’s mission is simple: develop confident, technically sound, lifelong goalkeepers.
Summit’s focus is exclusively on the individual goalkeeper's growth – whether advancing a professional career, nurturing young talent, or guiding a prospective college keeper. Their ultimate goal is to develop lifelong goalkeepers, and they want every athlete to look back on Summit as a positive, competitive, and fun experience that truly prepared them for what's next.
Outside of the club-training provided through Blizzard SC, Summit offers additional training across several formats to accommodate different needs and budgets:
Small Group Training – Regular sessions in an intimate group setting, allowing focused coaching with peer competition
Private Sessions – One-on-one training tailored entirely to the individual keeper
Camps & Clinics – Intensive short-format training events throughout the year
How Players Benefit
Dedicated goalkeeper development – Summit allows Blizzard SC to truly give keepers the specialized attention they need. Their Club Training service brings professional GK coaches directly into the Blizzard SC environment, meaning keepers get expert, position-specific coaching in the comfort of their typical club environment.
Qualified goalkeeper coaches – Summit is the only academy in Alberta with qualified, professional goalkeeper coaches – a resource unavailable anywhere else in the province.
Development across all ages & levels – Summit provides keepers of all levels and ages the opportunity to train at the highest standard, whether a U10 player is just learning the position, or a U18 player is chasing university scholarships.
Built around confidence & character – Coaching isn't just about technique – it's about building confident, resilient individuals who love the game and thrive under pressure. The role of every Summit coach is to create a nurturing yet challenging environment that drives both athletic excellence and personal growth.
A proven pathway – For players with ambitions of building towards university or professional soccer, Summit's alumni list speaks for itself. Their coaches have a demonstrated track record of identifying and elevating talent to the highest levels of the game – both domestically and internationally.
Year-round access – As a year-round academy, Summit can support keepers through pre-season preparation, in-season maintenance, and off-season development – keeping them sharp and progressing no matter where they are in the calendar.
