The Orange Way, On the National Stage – 2026 Canadian Championships

Dear Calgary Blizzard Members,

There are moments in sport that transcend results, moments that define who we are, what we believe in, and what is possible when commitment meets opportunity.

This is one of those moments. This past season, our League1 Men's team didn't just compete, they made history. Through relentless work, unwavering belief, and a shared commitment, the team captured the League1 Championship, earning league honours and qualification for the 2026 Canadian Championship (CanChamp's). The Canadian Championship is Canada Soccer's premier professional knockout competition, featuring clubs from MLS, the Canadian Premier League, and League1 Canada.

This marks the highest competitive achievement in our club's history!

As League1 champions, our Men's League1 Team will compete on the national stage in May 2026, travelling to Montreal to face CF Montréal in the Canadian Championship. This achievement reflects the growth, ambition and strength of our entire club and the standards upheld by our players and staff.

This journey belongs to everyone who wears the badge, the players who delivered when it mattered most, the coaches who led with clarity and purpose, and the families, volunteers, and members who continue to invest in Calgary Blizzard. Just as importantly, it belongs to our grassroots and youth development programs. From first touches to high performance, this achievement shows our young athletes what is possible within our club. It is a living example of The Orange Way, a pathway built on development, dedication, and belief.

Opportunities like this are rare. A League1 club competing against an MLS opponent on the national stage is truly once in a lifetime and we are proud to represent Calgary and League1 Alberta. As we prepare for the 2026 Canadian Championship, we invite you to follow the journey across our social media channels as the team prepares for this historic fixture.

This is more than a match.
This is a milestone.
This is The Orange Way, on the national stage.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Yours in Soccer,

Jackie Martin
